Yay, this forum rules!

To keep things that way, there are a few guidelines to stick to. These rules are not meant to bug you, they exist because we want to make sure people are able to stay clean and finish the thing by themselves if they want, and still be able to surf through this board reading what they want. Spoiling is a power of the dark side.

No level details

It is forbidden to post important level details on the threads. This includes naturally all hyperlinks, source codes, usernames and passwords to levels, but also minor details, for example page titles or things you can see in the level picture. When writing to a level hint thread, think about all readers: those who haven't seen the level yet should not get a clue about what exactly they are going to face and again, those who have been on that level will actually know what you're talking about even if you talk about the level in a very general way. Spoiler tags exist and should be used if you are actually posting a hint to the forum but the same rules apply to hidden text.

Forum moderators will edit posts if they consider them too revealing.

Also, do not ask for solutions! This is a riddle, the whole idea is to find things out yourself.

Forum language

The forum language for all major conversation is English. If you want to speak in, say, Finnish about things in general, you may start Finnish threads on the Free discussion zone.

Asking for help

Feel free to ask for further help in the Hints zone. There is a thread opened for each level, so be sure to ask in the right thread, otherwise people might not understand you. Remember to keep level details to yourself, though.

Suitable amount of help

This depends on the level. If you have a very limited or no knowledge about the following subjects: world wide web, languages, maths, programming, photo editing and some other topics that occur in the riddle, this game might still be for you. If a level is about HTML code and you don't happen to have any coding experience but think that it's necessary to understand the riddle, you can visit an HTML web site and look for help.

If you have been on a level for three minutes already and still don't know what to do and rush to beg for help from a fellow sweller, then you definitely haven't met the requirements of the suitable amount of thinking per level.

Shooting giraffes

Shooting giraffes is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.

The purpose of Swell, the Universe and Everything

Have fun with swell!
